Une excursion fantastique pour découvrir la cascade de Muru Mannu, la plus haute de Sardaigne. L'itinéraire commence près du lac Montimannu et suit le sentier menant à la cascade à travers une forêt luxuriante dans le sud-ouest de l'île. La cascade est entourée d'imposantes parois de granit et, à la fin du parcours, se trouve un petit lac entouré de chênes verts et de houx.

La cascata di Muru Mannu è la più alta cascata in Sardegna. Essa nasce dall'omonimo torrente chiamato Canale de Muru Mannu, il quale scorre interamente in territorio di Gonnosfanadiga. Il nome Muru Mannu, che in sardo significa "grande muro", è legato alla presenza di una cresta rocciosa che accompagna in senso NW-SE il corso del torrente.

Anticamente era denominata SA SPENDULA DE SA CORA DE BASCIU DE LINAS e può essere considerata LA CASCATA DEI TRE COMUNI, infatti è il punto di divisione tra i comuni di Domusnovas a Ovest, Villacidro a Sud, Gonnosfanadiga a Nord.
